Chest Goals


Be able to recognize and discuss the following:

  • The normal anatomy on the chest radiograph
  • Abnormal structures visible on the chest radiograph including masses, nodules and infiltrates
  • The principles underlying the radiographic images and their interpretation
  • The radiological appearance of common diseases found on the chest radiograph including pneumonia, lung cancer, and congestive heart failure.
  • Pathology on chest radiographs requiring urgent care.
  • The role of CT and the findings in pulmonary diseases
